Rachael Whitehead and Ashley Emerick share their amazing work with us in today's expert interview
I’m so pleased to introduce the work of Rachael Whitehead and Ashley Emerick, event coordinators, and designers from Whatever is Lovely Events. This best-friend duo and our experts for the day arrange stunning weddings and events that focus on the couple and client right down to the intimate details.
The company, based in Kansas City, offers the kind of once-in-a-lifetime experience that every bride dreams of for her big day and ensures that those special moments are not only enjoyed but captured as memories that last a lifetime.
Whatever is Lovely Events not only focuses on organizing weddings and events but creates concepts and designs with the couple’s personal choices in mind making the couple a part of the planning experience and journey every step of the way without inundating them with too many tasks and unnecessary decisions. This is what gives the company a unique take on the wedding planning experience, as Ashley explains.
“Let us alleviate the pressure of planning and coordinating your event so you can relax and enjoy the memories being made.”
It’s this special approach to their weddings that have earned them the comment from a bride who was overheard saying to a friend: “They are just like J.Lo in that movie!” As Rachael says in her interview; “isn’t it every wedding coordinators dream to be likened to The Wedding Planner?” and I couldn’t agree more. I think it must be a wonderful feeling to overhear a client say this to a friend.
Rachael and Ashley love the concept of love and hold each of their clients in high regard, treating them like personal friends. They immerse themselves in the client’s dream in order to bring the vision to life and offer a truly unforgettable occasion.
Whatever is Lovely Events was born from a need. Ashley and her mother planned her own wedding and while it was an amazing success, she felt she missed out on some of the more intimate and special moments. She had no pictures of her mother zipping her into her wedding dress. Her family was involved in organizing her big day and because of this, she has no memories of her family mingling together and really just enjoying the celebration. It was then that Ashley decided that no bride should have to look back with holes where memories should be. The small personal details that she missed out on were the inspiration behind the creation of Whatever is Lovely Events.
Ashley has a very specific take on the trends that she’s been doting on and has mentioned a few (which I am totally in love with too). Deep jewel tones like emerald, plum, peacock blue with lace and mercury-gold are among her favorite color trends at the moment. She also enjoys the classic natural tones which never really go out of style; white and green with accents of blush and gold.
As for other wedding and event trends, she’s noted that the growing trend of incorporating food trucks into the concept that serve the bride and groom’s favorite eats is a great way of conveying wonderful personal details and they’re always a hit at an event.
Also, one of my personal favorites is the addition of the family-to-be’s fur children. This is such a wonderful way of creating a stunning memory and adds so much fun to the wedding.
