Our industry expert for today is Desi Wojtowicz, owner and wedding planner for Desirable Events by Desi. She’s part of a dynamic duo alongside her husband and they offer a well-rounded wedding package to their couples, ensuring that both the bride and the groom are fully catered to in their needs. Their work is exceptional with a classic and timeless strain to it. Introducing their company to you today is an absolute pleasure!
Based in Las Vegas, they offer both local and destination wedding planning. Their list of services includes the day of coordination, partial as well as full wedding services, elopement, and special event services. Desirable Events by Desi has the advantage of having two experienced wedding planners on its books who bring their unique style to the table. Acting as a true team, they are able to bring together an event in a way only a husband and wife team can manage. Thanks to this fantastic combination they are able to offer high-end events and experiences to their couples.

Desi started her career in events long before she opened Desirable Events by Desi. She would often accompany her mother who helped a friend put together weddings. Even from that young age, Desi enjoyed watching the tablescapes with their beautiful centerpieces come together. Later in her life, Desi studied hospitality at Michigan State University where her aptitude and passion for planning became evident in an events class she took. After moving to Vegas, Desi started out in Food and Beverage Management which gave her the opportunity to be part of events around the Las Vegas strip. Even though Desi has a long history of events, her first love is still the idea and pursuit of love and her passion for events lies in weddings. After taking some time to really learn the ins and outs of Las Vegas, she decided to open Desirable Events by Desi.
Desi is passionate about the finer details, leaving no stone unturned and no fork out of place, it’s this attention to detail that drives the success of each event. Her love for seeing weddings come together with finesse is what gives meaning to what she does. It’s in the moments spent with her couples going over the planning process and seeing their vision (and love for each other) bloom that she feels fulfilled. In fact, it’s the first look from the bride and groom on their wedding day when they see the vision and hard work come to life that gives Desi a sense of contentment and pride in her work.

Greenery is a hot trend for most planners this year and Desi is loving it too. From the floral details to the bold fillers that add life to bouquets, table settings, and general event décor. We’ve seen some stunning greenery ideas this year that suit a plethora of wedding styles from elegant white weddings with greenery details right through to the more relaxed Bohemian styles. One of Desirable Events' upcoming weddings is in the Bohemian style and Desi is pretty excited about all the details in the wedding.
Floral prints are another favorite of hers and she even goes on to say that she would get married again if her husband would let her just so that she could wear a floral print wedding gown.
