I couldn’t contain my excitement when Robin sent us another set of images from a new tablescape she put together for her client. I recently introduced Robin to our readers when she sent us images of her royal glam tablescape in purple and silver, a tablescape fit for a king and queen.
Today’s tablescape has a gloriously exotic feel to it, making use of rich and bright colors like turquoise, gold, silver, white and gray. Of course, there is plenty of bling to go around on this stunning tablescape too, which has me smiling from ear to ear.
Robin’s eye for detail is evident. We saw in her first tablescape that even the smallest detail is catered for and adheres to the theme that Robin has set out. What I love about her table settings and the designs are the feeling that you get when looking at them. It’s more than just a setting, it’s a story. One that feels as if you’ve walked into an exotic new land with a rich background and you can immerse yourself in good food and good company for a while. This is especially valuable if you’re planning a themed party or event. A well-set, exciting, and welcoming table will keep the conversation flowing throughout the event.
Those jars! They’re so simple but they set the scene perfectly. The jars have an oriental feel and the color is simply gorgeous. Set against the golden shell placed neatly in the middle, this centerpiece is absolute perfection.
The blinged out turquoise napkin rings are fantastic. For these napkins, Robin combined silver and gold bling, making use of the rhinestone mesh to adorn the edges of the turquoise napkin while using the gold crystal starfish napkin ring as the main bling detail. The details on the napkin ring were reinforced by adding rhinestone mesh to other tableware and décor elements. The glasses, shells, and starfish were all embellished with the bling- on-a-roll and they look gorgeous. If you look closely at the shells, you’ll be able to appreciate the effort Robin put into her details. While these shells look store bought, Robin has painted and designed each one to suit the table design.
Robin has chosen a simple tablecloth with a silhouette design. Thanks to its simplicity, the tablecloth doesn’t detract from the rest of the tablescape. Rather, it brings a new layer of depth to the entire scene that is quite lovely.
To round it off, this color combination is absolutely gorgeous. We’ve been on a metallic high for the last few months and just can’t seem to get enough of gold color combinations. I love the vibrancy the turquoise adds to the table, in a way giving it a relaxed feel without sacrificing the class.
Great job Robin! Your work is totally inspiring.
Psst…We’ve been told that Robin has a tablescape or two more to share with us, so we’ve got something to look forward to. As always, we’ll share it right here on the blog and you’ll be the first to know when it goes live.
