This time of year is always a little reflective and nostalgic as people get ready to celebrate the holidays with their loved ones. Thanksgiving, particularly, is a time of abundance and many shared joys as we take a look back at the year we've had and give thanks for all the amazing experiences, people who have been a part of our lives, and for the things we have.

This time of gratitude is such an exciting one and it's likely where many happy family memories will form as children grow and families expand. It's no surprise that the dinner table is often the focal point of Thanksgiving as this is where the best memories are made, where sharing and good laughter is abundant and where wisdom is passed down.

This year, metallic colors have been on trend throughout the year and I couldn't think of anything better than a glam thanksgiving decked out in gold and silver. I fell in love with the gold pumpkins and gold leaves shown in the images above and felt that these items really add a magical feel to a Thanksgiving dinner table. Can you imagine sitting down to a meal with those gold leaves hanging overhead? The kids would love it!

Natural elements like pumpkins, leaves, acorns, branches, even stones all look fantastic covered in gold and they make for very easy and budget-friendly Thanksgiving DIY ideas that you could put together even the day before. So if you're in need of a great idea to make your Thanksgiving table pop with a bit of sparkle, consider spray painting a few twigs in gold or silver that you could then add to your flower arrangements. This looks absolutely fantastic and these metallic twigs can be re-used for a number of other dazzling DIY projects down the line. 

Going glam for Thanksgiving allows you to add in your favorite luxury pieces like that stunning set of glasses you just couldn't resist earlier this year, or those gold stretch loop napkin rings that are timeless and perfect for a large variety of events. Layering your table settings, starting by the centerpiece will allow you to the vital details to your table without making it feel too cluttered.
